Wellr – A community and health challenges that suit everyone!

Anna Bakalopoulou is a nursing assistant and works night shifts at Nacka Senior Center Ektorp. Since 2016, she has been part of Nacka Municipality and is proud to work in a municipality that not only strives to be the best place to live, but also an employer that values employees’ health and well-being. She has tested Nacka Municipality’s new health app, Wellr.

Anna has been interested in health and exercise since she was a child.

“I’ve been dancing for as long as I can remember. For the past ten years, I’ve also been doing cardio and strength training. The best result of choosing this lifestyle is that I can take part in and enjoy my children’s activities. Being out in nature, climbing, jumping and running brings us great joy and is a valuable part of our lives.”

Anna enjoys new health challenges and was happy when she got the opportunity to try the new health app Wellr.

“I think Wellr is a fantastic opportunity! As a safety representative, I see this as a unique chance to encourage my colleagues to take part in fun activities and challenges. This will not only create a closer sense of community, but also help improve and promote our work environment.”

Everything gathered in one place

In a digitalized society, many people want to log their activities in apps. Anna says that what sets Wellr apart from other health apps is that it is easy to use and gives a good overview of your health status.

“In addition, you can take part in various talks and health plans tailored to your own needs. It can be anything from meditation and yoga to tougher strength sessions. You can also connect your phone or smartwatch to the app for automatic logging of, for example, steps. If not, you can easily register them directly in the app.”

Another feature in Wellr that Anna likes is that it provides concrete tips on changes you can make in your everyday life. It also contains varied recipes and meal plans that suit everyone.
