Active health promotion is crucial for a thriving and successful workplace.
Skandia and Wellr are now entering into a long-term partnership agreement that will give 95,000 employees free access to Wellr’s health app to strengthen individual wellbeing at work.
Proactive work with occupational health is important to prevent sickness absence, reduce staff turnover and improve results. But activities often end up being scattered, unclear and, not infrequently, reactive.
Today, Wellr is one of Sweden’s leading companies in digital occupational health and has, since 2017, been at the forefront of the drive for better wellbeing in the workplace.
It has now been confirmed that Skandia and Wellr are signing a long-term agreement that gives Skandia’s corporate customers free access to Wellr’s health app. In total, this covers 95,000 employees who will now have free access to a web-based health solution that measures, evaluates and improves both health and the work environment in the workplace. The offer applies to corporate customers that are part of Skandia’s health chain (sickness insurance, health insurance or healthcare insurance for all employees).
The most effective and profitable way to deal with health problems is to anticipate and prevent them, and together with our customers we have, over the past 15 years, more than halved employees’ sickness absence. Wellr will be an important piece of the puzzle in our health package and Skandia’s health chain, says Jan Karlsson, Skandia’s Head of Risk and Health.
Wellr works with a step-by-step model where employees complete a digital health check that is compiled into personal health profiles. Based on these profiles, individual, tailored health plans are created, which can include anything from home workouts, stretching exercises for pain, sleep training, smoking cessation, or preventive exercises against stress and mental ill-health.
“We are convinced that healthy companies start with healthy employees – that’s why our goal is to use enjoyable methods to engage all employees in health initiatives. We are proud and pleased with this groundbreaking agreement with Skandia, which enables us to offer our solution to large numbers of employees across the country who want to change their health,” says Martin Forslund, CEO of Wellr.
