You probably have your goal clear: a sound and healthy workplace with employees who feel well. But to get there, you also need to have a full understanding of your starting point. All goal-oriented development should therefore begin with the question: Where do we stand today?
Finding out how employees are doing and which risk areas exist in terms of health and work environment is a prerequisite for effective health promotion. With a current-state analysis, you can look at the company’s overall health status and direct preventive measures to the areas where they are most needed. Perhaps the needs differ between departments or job roles?
If you work over a longer period with the same evaluation, trends and tendencies can be detected at a very early stage – a win for everyone involved.
An effective current-state analysis should include the following:
• Average health level among employees
• How many employees are in each health zone
• What percentage within each health area are in a good zone, acceptable zone, in need of lifestyle changes, or in a risk zone
• Organizational and social work environment
At Wellr, we have taken the vague concept of health and made it systematic and measurable. We help you find out how many are at risk of becoming ill in the near future. In this way, you can target your efforts and strengthen weak health areas before things have gone too far.
At Wellr, we measure health in the following areas: alcohol, tobacco, mental health and stress, physical activity, pain and injuries, sleep, and ergonomics.
Once we have used the health analysis to determine where we are, the next question becomes: Where are we going – and how do we get there?
Here you can read more about how to plan, structure, and address health challenges in the workplace.
