How far can you really go together? Quite far, as it turns out. Together with Vision, we at Wellr ran an activity challenge that not only got people moving – but also boosted the sense of community.
474 participants. Over 92 million steps.
It all started this spring, when Vision launched an activity challenge in the Wellr app. The goal was simple – to get people moving more in everyday life, strengthen the feeling of togetherness, and build healthy habits that actually last over time. And it didn’t take long before everyone picked up the pace.
A health challenge filled with joy and energy
At Wellr, it’s not just the steps that count. All the small choices that support wellbeing matter, like taking a short break, breathing deeply, choosing a glass of water, or going for a brisk walk after work. During the challenge, a total of 2,909 such choices were logged in the app’s bingo feature.
And the steps? Together, the participants managed to rack up a total of 92,596,377 steps, which equals:• 1.7 laps around the Earth• 18% of the way to the moon• 1,645 marathons• Sweden – lengthwise – 44 times
But it’s more than just numbers. It’s proof that health becomes something completely different when we do it together.
When health feels fun – and makes a difference
For us at Wellr, health isn’t about performance. It’s about building movement and recovery into everyday life in a way that actually works. It should feel enjoyable and pressure-free – but still make an impact.
“We don’t believe in wagging fingers. We believe in creating engagement. When health is allowed to be simple, accessible, and something you do together – that’s when real change happens,” says Anders Hamberg, one of the founders of Wellr.
And that’s exactly what happened in this step challenge. During the weeks it ran, the app’s feed filled up with cheers, happy comments, and small but important everyday wins. It became a challenge that generated energy – both digitally and in real life.
